Jing Wang (she/they) is an actor, performer and creative director. Born and raised in a coastal city in Southern China with a tradition of seafaring livelihood, she was taught by the sea to move with courage, embrace the unknown, and carry home wherever she goes.

Her work investigates themes of humanity, feminism, authoritarianism, and immigration. With a background in television and media, she creates intersensory live performance through the convergence of technology and human experience, working at the intersection of theatre, film and design.

Recent credits include devising show Fragmented Hope (The New School) , Unsay (The New School), And We Never Went Back (Ensemble, The New School), Subterranean Memories (Ensemble, The New School), Sally Mar’s Repair Shop (Director), and Typist (Director).

She holds a MFA in Contemporary Theatre and Performance at The New School.
